Nama Doughnuts is one of the latest food trends in Japan, gaining crazy long lines outside shop doors where these parcels of creamy goodness are being made.
This holiday season, Tokyo Milk Cheese Factory Philippines (TMCF) is giving the public more reasons to celebrate with the latest addition to their scrumptious line-up of pastries: the Nama Doughnut.
Created by the culinary team from Japan, TMCF Philippines will be the first location in the world to offer the brand’s Nama Doughnut. The culinary delegates from Japan led by Chef Yuichi Inoue came to Manila to train the Philippine team and familiarize them with uniquely Japanese techniques. Unlike other doughs, the Nama Doughnut is very delicate. It is necessary to strictly control the temperature and mixing time to maintain its unique texture, making sure the doughnuts are just like the ones currently taking Japan by storm.

Aside from using Japanese techniques, the TMCF Nama Doughnut is made with top quality ingredients imported from the Land of the Rising Sun. The flour is developed specifically for Nama doughnuts, ensuring its unique soft and subtly chewy texture; only pure Hokkaido butter is used to make sure every bite is full of creamy richness from Hokkaido milk; even the frying oil is exclusively developed for frying doughnuts and it’s the reason why Nama Doughnuts are not as greasy as other doughnuts available today.
To enjoy the Nama Doughnut in its best form, TMCF encourages everyone to eat it as soon as possible - freshly made from the store is ideal. For those taking it home, it is not recommended to keep it in the fridge because cooling it will totally alter its texture. It is best to consume the Nama Doughnuts immediately while warm or at room temperature.
The TMCF Nama Doughnut is available per piece and box of five. It comes in three mouthwatering variants: the Classic Nama Doughnut (P95/each, P435/box) doesn’t have any filling, allowing you to enjoy the natural flavors of the ingredients; the Rare Cheese Nama Doughnut (P135/piece, P635/box) filled with tangy cream cheese and tossed in some sugar for added crunch and flavor; and the Mascarpone & Custard Nama Doughnut (P135/piece, P635/box) filled with rich mascarpone cream and sweet custard cream before being dusted with some powdered sugar.

The newest retail branch of Tokyo Milk Cheese Factory located at Mitsukoshi Mall in BGC will serve its new Nama Doughnuts, the iconic Japanese Milk Cheesecake (and all its available seasonal variants like Tiramisu and Pistachio), its signature Cheese Cookies (Salt & Camembert, Honey & Gorgonzola, Chocolate & Mascarpone, and seasonal variants like Black Truffle & Cheddar and White Truffle & Mozzarella), and of course the crowd-favorite Cow Cow Ice Hokkaido-style soft serve ice cream (available in Milk or Cheese, in cups or in cones).
The TMCF Nama Doughnut is exclusively available at their newly opened branch at Basement 1, Mitsukoshi Mall in Bonifacio Global City.
